Sharing background isn't about ego. (I've been told I have more than enough of that.) It's about how important quality is to you. If you're willing to put up with this non-conventional website, it's a good indication that you are determined to do it right. That's important whether you're thinking about a Toy Fox Terrier as a family pet or a show dog.
Thanks to the internet, we no
longer need to spend hours trying to figure each other out. You can
click out right now or learn more about what makes a healthy, breed-typical
Toy Fox Terrier and what we have to offer. It's up to you. I'll
try to make it as painless as possible but for a minute, I'll let the
webmaster take over.

Bill and Barbara Andrews married in 1956, had three gifted children, performance horses, and Dobermans (Damasyn and Arthal bloodlines) which they showed in Obedience . In 1966 they became Charter Members of the American Rottweiler Club and BJ published the first Rottweiler Handbooks. By1968, from only two litters, Barbara had finished their foundation bitch, Ch. Asgard Anna vom Kongslien, CD with three 5-point majors, and she became the #1 Top Producing Dam.
Their first Akita was in 1972. Carefully selected foundation bitches were 3/4 sisters purchased from Bob Campbell. BJ handled Ko-Go & Nikki and both quickly became AKC Champions. Bill and BJ waited a year for a compatible male puppy from Bob to breed to their two bitches. Ch. Sachmo was owner-handled to top breed and Group rankings for four consecutive years, and though never at public stud, he became (and remains as) the top sire of All Working Breeds. Their Ch. Ko-Go is tied with Ch. Hatter (a third generation O'BJ homebred) as the #1 Akita dam of all Time.
The Andrews set and still hold most of the All-Time Records in the breed, including over half of the All Time Top Winners and Register Of Merit Producers. Akitas O'BJ is the foundation bloodline for the top Akita kennels in North and South America, Europe and Australia! As publisher of the Akita Handbooks, BJ developed the Register Of Merit system which is now used by many other national breed clubs.
They fell in love with Bull Terriers in 1980 and subsequently imported the first-ever English Champion Miniature Bull Terrier plus the first Junior Warrant Winner from England. Barbara founded the national MBTCA and as President, moved the breed to AKC recognition. From three litters, they produced top-winning Group and Specialty winners.
The
Andrews were mentored in Chihuahuas by
Dan Greenwald and in 2001 Bill and Dan campaigned Ch. Rialto to become the
#2 Top
Smooth Chihuahua in breed history. By
2002, two homebred O'BJ Group and Specialty winners were ranked in the national Top Twenty.
But they had stumbled over a new AKC breed...
Toy Fox Terriers fit them like a glove. The O'BJ breeding formula, renowned for a consistently high percentage of champions-per-litter, was applied to a small Toy Fox Terrier breeding program which as curtailed by Bill's death in 2005.
Bill and BJ always owner-handled their dogs. Barbara authored seven full color breed books, including Chihuahuas, Miniature Bull Terriers, and the coffee-table edition, World Of The Akita, nominated for Breed Book Of The Year.
She says "I'm proud that O'BJ Dogs are still the Hallmark for genetic health, correct temperament, and dominant breed type. I feel like Bill and I gave back nearly as much as the dogs gave to us."
