Toy Fox Terriers Puppies For Sale (sometimes)

Our puppies all go back to Westgate Sabrina O'BJ, one of two foundation bitches.  She came to us before AKC recognition but could have finished her championship.  Jane had faults which I demonstrated in judging seminars because "on the table" she was outstanding but she also taught judges to reject the most common Toy Fox Terrier faults such as  "toy-dog" mouths, uphill topline and cross-over front movement.  She was typical of her time - and of more than a few "show quality" Toy Fox Terriers today.  Fortunately she also taught judges to look for proper ears, proportion, tailset, "attitude" and showmanship inherent in the Toy Fox Terrier.   Her show ring faults never outweighed her 5 pounds of true Toy Fox Terrier character, loyalty, and uncanny intelligence.  To Jane, we dedicate our love for the breed.

Westgate Sabrina O'BJ, our pre-AKC Foundation Bitch, a 5.5 pound Einstein!!!

So before I tell you about puppies, let me get this out of the way.  I was relaxing on the porch watching her hunt lizards over by the rock wall.  One of our plumbers came speeding up the long paved driveway.  I called her and as always, she instantly forgot the hunt and sprinted across the yard to me.  He gunned his truck coming out of the curve.  Jane reacted by veering off to attack the unexpected threat.  It was instantaneous for her, an eternity for me.

She was a perfectly adorable 5.5 pound Toy Fox Terrier, a free whelping, wonderful mother and producer.  But she was also the most uncannily intelligent and perceptive dog we have ever owned!  She went everywhere with me, shopping, beauty shop, to visit friends, and she was always welcomed.

All Toy Fox Terriers are super smart but Jane's kids and grandkids are brainiacs!  She was an adult when we bought her and the first thing she did when we got home from the airport was to bite Bill!  She then came and stared up at me.  Satisfied, she asked to be picked up and that was that.  She quickly forgave Bill for being so presumptuous and neither of us ever understood why she chose me instead of Bill.  Her owner, an older attorney, had married a much younger woman who told him the dog had to go.  She should have gravitated right to Bill but then she always seemed to know things we never quite understood.

Jane is the mother of Calvin Cool, my Home Home Page dog and Hugely's sire.  Calvin is pictured at a very Toy Fox Terrier Puppy, Calvin Cool at 7 monthsawkward seven months but already shows rare (in Toy Fox Terriers) shoulder layback, turn of stifle and short hocks.  Calvin's to-die-for head and rich rust red markings are a throwback to the Manchester Terrier.  His brains are from Jane.  Next to her, he was the love of my life - until I had a call from a local lady recovering from heart surgery.  Long story but that elderly couple needed him much more than I did.  He is her therapy dog and that allowed her husband to return to part time work.

Jane also gave me Ch. Getta Blaze and Ch. Getta Garbo; both girls finished their AKC titles with repeated wins over adult males, including several top-ranked Champions.  Garbo finished undefeated at 7 months to become the youngest female Toy Fox Terrier Champion and the All Time top winning TFT puppy.  Blaze was rarely beaten, finishing her title by going BOS over Specials at a Toy Fox Terrier Club Regional Specialty.

Jane was a powerful producer but most of all, she was my very best friend, my under-the-covers dog, and everything a Toy Fox Terrier can and should be.

If you're looking for a life-long friend of outstanding quality and intelligence, and if you can be patient, you will get that here because we have never settled for less!
