When my phone hours outnumbered my waistline, I decided to put information online. It's easy for people to "say" things that are less than true but putting it in writing holds us accountable, to you, and to other breeders. I hope you'll understand and not consider this initial handshake any less personal because of the format.
So
what does pride of ownership and peace of mind cost?
Well it depends. Are you serious about showing? Maybe you don't
have time for the show ring, you just want the best in a personal companion, one who is welcome everywhere, doesn't eat crackers in bed,
and is the ultimate conversation opener? I have six of those!
They take turns going to the beauty shop with me, ride in the cart at Home
Depot, etc. so you guessed it, you'll have to wait for one of your own.
Toy Fox Terrier show puppies start at $1200 and can cost twice that much, depending on age and whether you want Show or Foundation quality. Pet puppies are half as much, sold on AKC Limited Registrations, and can be shown in Obedience and Agility but cannot be bred. Show dog, personal companion, or family pet; an O'BJ puppy is a real V.I.P. (Very Important Puppy!)
Guarantees. Every puppy is born in my bed or office, depending or whether I'm sleeping or working. They are reared according to proprietary, proven methods that insure optimum physical and mental development. Like a car dealer, I require proper maintenance but my guarantee exceeds that of a $70,000 automobile because a good puppy is worth more and lasts a whole lot longer! I guarantee your Toy Fox Terrier will grow up strong, healthy, and handsome. If we fail, I will replace the puppy and if some tragic accident were to happen, I'll share your loss.
For over forty years, every O'BJ puppy has left with his "bed and belongings," a written guarantee and (copyrighted) Care Package. Over 250 of those puppies have gone on to become AKC champions, top winners and/or producers in their respective breeds but the personal or family pets others are no less treasured by their owners!

when properly shown in good weight and condition. But there's more.
I also guarantee fertility in a well-managed Toy Fox Terrier. Most
breeders duck this issue but what good is a sterile show dog?
Foundation Quality means just that. The phenotype and genotype with which to found a successful Toy Fox Terrier breeding program. A dog that not only stands out in the show ring but one that can reliably reproduce superior quality puppies. A Foundation Quality is the Toy Fox Terrier I would keep for my own bloodline.
Pet Puppies have a beauty fault which the untrained eye will rarely notice. They have the same guarantee for quality, longevity, and health as the super stars! And why not,? They're from the same litter and every O'BJ puppy receives the same organic meat, fresh goat's milk, one-on-one cuddling and optimum environment.
How are puppies raised? At 21 days, when the dam would be returning from the hunt with a belly full of meat, our puppies get their first taste of raw meat, hand fed while in my lap. While I balk at regurgitating partially digested meat for them (that is their mother's job) their first solid food is what nature intended for a carnivore and that is not corn and wheat! We then introduce goat's milk, eggs, bones, vegetables, fruits, and finally, for convenience, a small amount of kibble. We expect our owners to do no less.
Housing.
The dog room is a pass-through room between my den and the dispatch office.
It is the pathway of daily activity so the dogs are fussed over by staff,
plumbers, and delivery people. When there's nothing going on, they sun
bathe outside on their hammocks or curl up in custom made TP Sachs, warmed
in winter by radiant-heat ceramic floors. Between naps, twice-a-day
home-cooked meals, and working as official greeters and driveway monitors, "Toy
Fox Terriers O'BJ" run and play in clean Carolina mountain air.
No, we don't rent rooms but we are the best dog-gone Bed and Breakfast in the state!
When Can I Get My
Toy Fox Terrier Puppy?
Not before 10 weeks. Pet or Show,
every O'BJ puppy must learn the social skills only a good mother can teach.
Food and play manners, pecking order, and "pack" interaction insures a
better adjusted companion that gets along well with children, other pets,
and who will understand the limits you impose. Hopefully, there
will
be limits.
While you're waiting, we send photos and a short questionnaire so we can
help you choose the perfect Toy Fox Terrier puppy for your needs and
lifestyle. This is a big commitment for both of us so it's important
that we do it right.
Requirements. It's best to have a fenced area where your Toy Fox Terrier puppy can run, play, and go potty. Puppy must live in your home as he does here. He must have a cuddly bed if he can't get under your covers. Your puppy should see the vet for a get-acquainted visit within the first week and hopefully, never again! If you have a Show Puppy, I'll expect snapshots and progress reports for at least six months. Pet or Show, I ask that you contact me first if there's ever a problem. No vet, neighbor, friend, or breeder cares as much about this puppy as you and me!
Puppy Preparation. You get a "pre-puppy" checklist so you know what to have on hand, where to get it, and what to feed. I provide lifetime support because when I hold a just-born puppy, I have to know his future is secure.
Getting your Toy Fox Terrier home. We've flown puppies to four continents and it's as safe as any of us can be. Shipping is usually cheaper (about $250) than a road trip, and obviously the puppy gets home quicker. I charge $100 for the round trip to Charlotte, NC or $50 to Greenville, SC International Airports, depends on where you are. We pay for vet exam and health certificate, you pay for shipping and the crate which will serve as his "den" for a while. Alternatively, picking up the puppy means we get to meet you, you get to see sire, dam, and the whole family. You can plan a mini-vacation in the Great Smokey Mountains and pick up your new best friend on the way home.

We love to share in your fun but never push
you to show. Another champion to our credit doesn't matter.

f you want top quality but don't plan to show or breed, that's okay. We just want you to enjoy your Toy Fox Terrier in ways that make YOU happy with no pressure from a breeder.
We have friends who collect classic cars because they love having them in the garage. Hey, we're equally as happy with a classic dog curled in our lap! And why not? It's much more satisfying than objects d’art.
